HAMLET production was a fruit of a few months long teamwork. It was a part of the acting course programme in L'art Studio* in Cracow, Poland.
Our production of Hamlet revealed new faces of Shakespeare's well-known characters and accentuate their desires and personal struggles. The steel, cold and industrial image of a declining kingdom was the confrontation space of the real and dreamlike worlds.

The goal for Hamlet production was to create an environment where elements of set can shift, props can be brought in by actors, quick costume changes are possible. Every spectator should feel present in the declining kingdom where secrets are revealed. The steel, industrial, damaged environment encouraged questions about the actual worth of the kingdom. It reminded rather of a rat hole than a place full of grandeur and luxury.
