AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE
2021 • conceptual design
The characters of Ibsen's famous novel are located in a brutalist Eastern European environment. Dr Stockmann is a busy doctor who privately sees patients in her wet basement. This is where the dispute about whether it is worth fighting for an individual starts, a place where interpersonal bonds are put to the test.

Initial maquettes
Inspiration drawn from brutalist architecture strengthens apocalyptic vision of An Enemy of the People environment. Action taking place in dump, dirty,
grey interiors equipped with colorful pieces of plastic furniture surprises with its dynamics and inevitable consequences.
The omnipresent paradox of measures taken and unexpected discoveries seems to be experience not solely by the society, but also architecture & nature. Walls fell down & water takes over Dr Stockmann's basement to the point where it is
too late to save it in the final act.
